“ My work is a contemplative journey, blending the tactile and historic processes of  paper-making & printmaking, exploring themes within ecological philosophy: the philosophy of time, personal identity, and disintegration. I am interested in the dichotomy between the handmade & the machine; by embodying both, through mass production of handmade paper, I challenge viewers to enter a space of self-enquiry and philosophical questioning, particularly in the post-pandemic landscape. My work is concerned with themes of temporality and the need for control, where I utilise the sun-reliant technique of cyanotype, fostering an organic and submissive evolution within my creations. This work serves as a reminder of the interdependence of all living things. I invite viewers to pause and reflect on their own relationship with the natural world, urging them to reconnect with the rhythms of nature and reclaim our humanity in an increasingly mechanised world. I navigate Existentialist Martin Heidegger’s inquiries of life and death; honouring the inevitability of decay while celebrating the transformative journey towards transcendence and evolution, I create spaces where the boundaries between reality and the subconscious blur.”
